Clinical Development Educator Critical Care (rn)

Job Description


Summary:

As a member of the Patient Care Services management team, the Clinical Development Educator coordinates and conducts educational activities to maintain and advance the knowledge and skills of clinical staff including onboarding programs, competency assessments, and classes and workshops that support the care of specific patient populations. The role employs a variety of teaching/learning strategies and uses assessment and evaluation techniques for program planning and implementation. This educator participates in the provision of continuing nursing education and American Heart Association (AHA) life support programs. The Clinical Development Educator works in collaboration with the nursing leadership team and is accountable to the Director of Nursing Professional Development.

Qualifications:

  • Master\'s Degree in Nursing or enrolled in a Master\'s Degree in Nursing program required.
  • Current NH licensure as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of three years progressive educational and/or leadership experience, minimum 3 years recent Critical Care experience
  • Adult learning principles, teaching/learning methods, knowledge commensurate with basic nursing education
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, proven leadership and mentoring skills, presentation, computer and organizational skills.
  • Ability to achieve the following competencies:
Within 90 days:
  • Facilitate learner development
  • Use assessment and evaluation strategies
  • Participate in program design and implementation and evaluation of program outcomes
  • Engage in scholarship and research
  • Integrate and manage innovative learning technologies (simulation, online learning systems)
