Summary
At Carmel Valley Ranch, we believe our guests select Hyatt because of our caring and attentive associates who are focused on providing efficient service and meaningful experiences. This position is responsible for the oversight of the hotel\'s general ledger operations and supports the hotel Director of Finance. Additionally, this person will be responsible for efficiently running the accounting department in line with Hyatt Corporate standards while meeting guest and owner expectations. Other responsibilities will include the following:

• Manage and help oversee hotel on-site accounting functions to ensure proper fiscal management, timely and accurate reporting, and analysis for the hotel. It includes:
  • Daily income audit; daily report including payroll review.
  • Fixed asset and capital project
  • Cash management; accounts payable review & aging; accounts receivables
  • Coordination with Shared Services both for event billing to collections
  • Membership billing
  • Inventories
• System administrator for programs related to the accounting function.
• Assist in preparing month-end adjustments and journal entries while adhering to GAAP, USALI and SOX compliances.
• Assist in Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with special reporting and analysis projects.
• Assist with completing the year-end audit process
• Assist with contract review and maintaining licenses and permits.
• Compensation ranges from $83,200.00 - $87,360.00

• Two years or more of relevant accounting or finance experience
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be an advanced user of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Work experience with Symphony, Opera, Jonas, and Oracle preferred and/or ability to learn new hotel systems in a timely manner.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Flexibility to assist with operations.
