Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with expertise in various areas including corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, and governmental accounting. This role requires a commitment to accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards while providing exceptional financial services to our clients.

Responsibilities

Invoicing and Payment Processing

Prepare, issue, and track invoices for organizational activities, including services, contracts, and grants.

Account Management

Maintain organized and current accounts receivable files. Monitor accounts for overdue payments and follow up in accordance with organizational policies. Reconcile accounts receivable records with the general ledger to ensure accuracy. Support cross-departmental requests for payment or invoice documentation when needed. Record and process all incoming payments, including checks, ACH, and credit card transactions. Accurately post payments to appropriate accounts and maintain documentation for all transactions.

Skills

Strong understanding of financial management principles including accrual accounting and cash flow analysis. Excellent analytical skills for financial report writing and interpretation. Ability to perform general ledger reconciliation and account reconciliation efficiently. Familiarity with various accounting software tools for effective bookkeeping and financial analysis. Solid knowledge of debits & credits, financial statement preparation, budgeting techniques, and forecasting methodologies. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and mentoring team members in technical areas of accounting. Pay: $20,000.00 - $30,000.00 per year
