Job Summary:

A department leadership position responsible for representing multiple business areas with high and/or varying degrees of complexity. This includes local direct reporting relationships, virtual and vendor leadership/management, to achieve optimum business results, and expense control, while maximizing the department s contributions to the Allstate corporation.

Band Level - E

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for representing the business area in strategic planning activities with senior leadership
  • Creates/insures plans for professional growth/career-pathing of others
  • Recommends promotions and terminations as well as approving new hires and merit increases
  • Responsible for answering inquiries requiring interpretation of division policies/procedures
  • Establishes high performance standards for self, teams, and others
  • Brings individuals together, focusing on teamwork and pursuit of common goals
  • Coordinates efforts of multiple departments and/or vendors to achieve department objectives
  • Analyze management information reports to determine progress to stated goals and objectives
  • Communicate opportunity areas and recommend process changes in order to achieve department goals
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent experience
  • 7 or more years of related experience
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  • None
Functional Skills:
  • Knowledge and experience in business, supervision, and management
  • Knowledge of the functions, operation and mission of the specific department
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Management experience in a team-oriented workplace, preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic economic, budgeting, and accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Evidence of the ability to practice a high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational management skills
Compensation offered for this role is $102,500.00-$170,375.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
