Definition of Class

This position plans, coordinates, promotes, evaluates, and executes campus visit programs. The incumbent manages communication efforts, assists in the planning, execution, and assessment of goals, objectives, policies, and procedures, and serves as liaison to prospective students, parents, university departments, and external contacts as it relates to campus visit-related programs.

Examples of Work Performed

  • Manages the flow of daily campus prospective student visitors and makes arrangements for visitors to receive appropriate attention while on campus.
  • Co-advises the Ole Miss Ambassadors.
  • Coordinates recruitment, selection, training, and development of Ole Miss Ambassadors.
  • Provides on-site supervision of campus visit programming, as it relates to facility usage, complying with campus policy, and liaising with facilities, set-up, catering, etc.
  • Provides enrollment information and guidelines, and gives information regarding areas of study, and other facets of the University to prospective students and families.
  • Assists in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating campus visit programs, including setting program agendas, scheduling presenters, extending invitations to appropriate groups of student prospects, reserving meeting space, arranging housing and food services, and making other logistical arrangements as appropriate.
  • Maintains event and visit-related records and data collection in the prospect management system.
  • Communicates with prospective and newly admitted students, their parents, and other family members.
  • Facilitates evaluation and assessment of assigned programs.
  • Provides supervision, guidance and feedback to assigned personnel.
  • Performs related or similar duties as required or assigned.
Essential Functions

These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring Department. * Plans and coordinates the schedules of campus visits and special events for prospective students and families.
  • Meets with and presents to prospective students and families while visiting campus.
  • Provides guidance and training to student recruiting volunteer organization in regards to recruitment
  • activities.
Minimum Education/Experience

Education:
Bachelor\'s Degree from an accredited college or university in Communications, Marketing, English, the social sciences or a related field.

Experience:
One (1) year of experience related to the above described duties.

Substitution Statement:
Related experience may be substituted for education, on a basis set forth and approved by the Department of Human Resources.
