Source Medium is an advanced analytics solution for e-commerce brands. We\xe2\x80\x99re building a \xe2\x80\x9cmodern data team\xe2\x80\x9d for 100+ businesses at scale. We help our customers to own their data by managing their entire data stack so they can focus on extracting actionable insights.



The magic of our offering comes from integrating the entire data stack \xe2\x80\x94 ingestion, storage, transformation, visualization, and servicing. Oh, and we\xe2\x80\x99re doing this with a team of 12! We\xe2\x80\x99re bootstrapped and hit product market fit within 6 months of launching the MVP in August 2020. Our growth has been entirely word-of-mouth driven, which results from our obsession with R&D and customer experience.


With less than 2 years in the market, we\'ve blown past $1million ARR, which positions us to raise Series A financing from best-in-class investors. As we hit the scaling stage, we\xe2\x80\x99re looking to slowly expand our team with world class professionals.


We have been gradually moving upmarket, focusing on mid-market brands. In 2023 we have broken ground on our first enterprise client. We currently work with some of the best brands and agency partners, such as Four Sigmatic, Tonies, Olipop, Oats Overnight, and TrueClassicTees.



For the next 12 months, we\xe2\x80\x99re rapidly increasing our use cases beyond reporting, such as:

  • Powering the user-facing analytics dashboard of a partner SaaS company. (we transform all of their data)
  • Allowing our customers to take actions on our integrated customer model. (reverse ETL)
  • M&A due diligence



The Business Development Representative position at Source Medium is a highly strategic role that sits within the Sales Org. As the first hire for the company\xe2\x80\x99s sales team, this role will help to cement the overall KPIs and business objectives for future sales employees. The goal for the BDR is to strategize with cross-functional stakeholders and deliver high quality meetings for our Sales/Operations team. The expectation will be to fuel to Source Medium\xe2\x80\x99s rapid growth by feeding high impact customers to the pipeline. The BDR will be responsible for identifying and growing relationships with prospective clients, resulting in overall sales of the SM product.


As a Business Development Representative at Source Medium , you will:
  • Become fluent in the SM knowledge base and its capability as a SaaS tool
  • Create value and engage prospects via cold calling, emailing, and leveraging social tools
  • Schedule qualified meetings for the Sales team
  • Meet and exceed monthly goals and KPIs
  • -Strategize with leadership to create a pipeline for leads

Partner with the contract marketing team to align on messaging and create sales materials
  • Be a hunter; follow up and chase all connections, adding value with every touchpoint
  • Build a robust network with prospects at target accounts nationally



Requirements:
  • A track record of high achievement
  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar role for a software or SaaS company
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous successful sales experience within the Enterprise space
  • The ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and asynchronous work environment

The base compensation for this role will be based on skills and experience. The role will start as contract with opportunity for Fulltime Employee status after 90 days. In addition to the base, the BDR will be compensated at 15% of all news business brought in house (contracts signed).
