Business Development Representative



Luxury Smart Home Technology

Stop chasing $5,000 deals. Start booking $20K-$350K projects with homeowners who write checks, not objections.

The Role



You'll hunt for high-net-worth prospects building $1.2M+ custom homes across Chester County, Lancaster County, and the Main Line. Your job: identify them early (before their builder locks in trades), get them to our Lancaster Design Center, and hand off qualified opportunities to our sales executives who close $20K-$350K smart home projects.

This is NOT a remote desk job. You'll spend days in the field visiting construction sites, meeting builders at job sites, and bringing prospects to our Design Center. Expect around 120 miles per week in your personal vehicle (we reimburse mileage at IRS rates). Some days you'll be prospecting from home, other days you're on-site.



Your Territory



Core Coverage: Malvern, Wayne, West Chester, Radnor, Villanova (Main Line suburbs) Extended: Mechanicsburg to Allentown, York to State College Hub: Weekly visits to EdgeUP Design Center in Lancaster for appointments and training

What You'll Do Daily



Research new construction permits and luxury lot sales using county GIS systems Drive to active construction sites and introduce yourself to builders, architects, and homeowners Make 50-80 targeted calls to lot owners, custom builders, interior designers, and architects Send personalized email sequences to affluent prospects Qualify projects: $10K+ budget, pre-construction or early framing stage, decision-maker accessible Schedule Design Center appointments and coordinate site visits Track everything in CRM and log your mileage
Monthly Goal: 15-20 qualified appointments that convert to opportunities

Who You Are



1-3 years of B2B/B2C sales, inside sales, or appointment setting experience Hunter mentality--you thrive on prospecting, not waiting for inbound leads Comfortable talking to successful people: business owners, executives, luxury homeowners Persistent and resilient--rejection doesn't faze you Self-directed and coachable--you manage your own territory but take feedback well Professional in person, on the phone, and via email Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and clean driving record Comfortable navigating construction sites and meeting trades on-site

Deal Breakers



- You want a desk job--this role requires daily field work

- You're uncomfortable with field-based prospecting and weekly territory travel

- You're looking for easy inbound leads--this is outbound hunting

- You live outside the territory and don't want to relocate to Chester County

What You'll Earn



Base: $35K-$45K (depending on experience) Performance Bonuses: $15K-$25K annually (qualified appointments + closed deal commission) First-Year Realistic Total: $50K-$70K+ Mileage Reimbursement: IRS standard rate ($0.67/mile) Advancement: Top BDRs move to Outside Sales Executive roles earning $150K-$300K+
