General Summary:



The Business Development Representative is responsible for reaching sales targets. This position requires a high level of independence, business acumen, and strong client service skills. Organizational ability is important to keep track of all tasks.

The BDR meets with their manager regularly to ensure that all sales needs of prospects and existing clients are met. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys outreach, connecting with business decision-makers, and driving the early stages of the sales cycle.

BDR Attributes and Characteristics



Knowledge of the product stack that is available to the client Able to pick vendors and suppliers to obtain the best prices on the best products for the product stack Ability to effectively communicate with business owners in a meaningful way Maintain a deep and current understanding of each client's business situation, business needs and IT environment, translating those needs into service and product requirements Remain knowledgeable of market and industry trends, competitors, and leading client strategies Track all account activity in the Professional Services Automation (PSA) system and CRM Identify and action renewals of product and software. Collaborate with the appropriate departments to develop and maintain a technology plan that supports client needs Identify trends and develop strategies to support these trends Create opportunities, when appropriate and follow-up activities. Utilize the proposal tool to initiate proposals to clients.

Position Responsibilities:



Conduct outbound prospecting via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels Qualify inbound leads and schedule discovery calls for the sales team Research target industries/companies and identify IT decision-makers Educate prospects on our managed IT, cybersecurity, helpdesk, and project services Manage and track activities in our CRM Maintain consistent follow-up cadences and nurture early-stage leads Collaborate with marketing to improve messaging and campaign effectiveness Meet or exceed KPIs: calls, emails, meetings booked, and pipeline created

This role includes commissions. Experience and value will determine base plus commission model.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,767.51 - $57,526.46 per year
