Job Description

Position Summary



The Sales Assistant supports the Buick/GMC sales team by ensuring a seamless and efficient sales process for customers. This role plays a key part in enhancing the overall customer experience by assisting with administrative tasks, vehicle delivery coordination, digital follow-ups, and dealership operations.

Key Responsibilities



Assist the sales team with day-to-day administrative support, including preparing deal jackets, processing paperwork, and updating CRM systems. Greet and engage customers in the showroom, providing initial assistance before connecting them with a salesperson. Coordinate test drives and vehicle deliveries, ensuring vehicles are clean, fueled, and properly staged. Maintain accurate and organized customer files and sales records. Support sales staff in scheduling appointments, following up with leads, and managing online inquiries. Communicate professionally with customers via phone, email, and text to provide updates on vehicle status or documentation needs. Assist with merchandising, vehicle displays, and promotional materials on the showroom floor and lot. Collaborate with the Business Office and Service Department to ensure all documentation and vehicle prep steps are completed before delivery. Stay up to date on Buick and GMC product knowledge, incentives, and dealership programs to provide accurate information to customers. Perform other related duties as assigned to support the dealership's sales objectives.

Qualifications



High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in business or marketing preferred. Prior experience in an automotive dealership or customer service role preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and dealership CRM systems. Professional appearance and a positive, team-oriented attitude. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

Qualifications:



A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred. Proven work experience in automotive sales or a similar sales role. Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills. Strong knowledge of Buick/GMC vehicles and features. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets. Customer-focused with a positive attitude and professional demeanor. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Work Environment & Physical Demands



Duties are performed on the dealership premises, both indoors and outdoors. Work includes frequent movement around the company facilities, the shop and the service parking lot to interact with customers and other staff. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear and is frequently required to stand, walk and sit. The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts will include half days on some Saturdays.
