Purpose of Position
Interviews are anticipated to be conducted within two weeks of closing date.
Why does the job exist?
This position exists to assist in completing RLD\'s operating budget, appropriation request, budget adjustment requests, and monthly budget projections. The incumbent will also prepare, reconcile, and approve journal entries, operating transfers, accounts payables, and accounts receivable.
How does it get done?
This position will be responsible for: Updating budget projections, meet with assigned divisions for reviewing the operating budget, manage and maintain complex in-house excel spreadsheets.
Who are the customers?
The work is performed on behalf of the agency to ensure fiscal responsibility in accordance with House Bill 2.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this position will be proficient in Excel and familiar with SHARE financial reports to include performing journal entries. The selected candidate will have the ability to perform multitasking skills accompanied with great communication skills.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration and two (2) years of experience in budget preparation, budget monitoring, governmental accounting and/or federal grant reporting. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.
