About the Role:

BrightDrop is looking for a customer-obsessed, nimble Director of Product Management with a passion for rolling up their sleeves to build life-changing products. This leader will drive a small team to build cutting edge hardware products that empower enterprise customers to become net zero in their fulfillment operations. They will own the hardware product vision, strategy and roadmap across all non-vehicular hardware products.

This is a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create and scale products from the ground up, in a dynamic space ripe for disruption. We are looking for an experienced Product leader who is excited to roll up their sleeves and tackle big, ambiguous and complicated problems.

Key responsibilities include:

Develop and Execute Product Strategy and vision. Align product roadmap with others in BrightDrop ecosystem and with the company\'s overall business strategy.

Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management. Conduct market research, gather customer insights, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, features, and pricing strategies.

Create and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap that balances customer needs, business goals, and technological advancements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and execute initiatives effectively.

Establish business cases for new products and features, articulating costs and benefits.

Foster strong relationships and collaboration with vendors and internal stakeholders \xe2\x80\x93 including software and hardware engineers, designers, operations, marketing, sales, customer success, and customer care teams. Work closely to ensure successful product launches, resolve issues, and gather feedback for continuous improvement. Communicate effectively vertically and horizontally across the organization.

Conduct ongoing competitive analysis to identify market trends, evaluate competitor offerings, and develop strategies to differentiate and grow our products. Stay abreast of industry advancements, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.

Build and lead a diverse, high-performing product management team. Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members, nurturing their professional growth and development. Foster a culture of creativity, growth and collaboration.

Be the customer\xe2\x80\x99s biggest advocate and ensure that decisions and enhancements are driven by customer insights and feedback. Continuously monitor customer satisfaction, conduct user testing, and gather feedback to improve product offerings.

Additional

Qualifications:

12+ years of Product Management experience creating products with hardware and software components for B2B or B2B2C

Previous experience leading cross-functional teams in a distributed environment

Domain knowledge of supply chain, logistics, transportation, or retail/e-commerce industries

Experience launching various products from cradle to grave, including finding product-market fit and scale

Strong bias to action, attention to detail, and resourceful attitude to take ownership and overcome obstacles, achieve goals

Expert analytical know-how and nimble critical thinking

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all organizational levels

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree required in business or related field; Startup experience preferred, MBA a plus

*This is a hybrid role based in Palo Alto, CA. Work will be performed onsite 2 or 3 days a week.

The expected base compensation for this role is: ($178,100 - $272,800 USD Annual). Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
