We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for great people who are passionate about redefining premium publishing through innovation, creative thinking and embracing fun. USA TODAY Network is seeking an entrepreneurially minded Brand Marketing Director to develop our B2B marketing plan, driving and building awareness of the USA TODAY brand across the advertising marketplace. This role will report to the VP, Head of National Sales and will work in partnership with internal PR/Communications, Corporate Marketing, Product, and Sales teams to tell the story of our brand.

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Do

  • Build awareness of the USA TODAY brand & positioning among advertising agency and brand marketing leaders promoting our unique value proposition through news and accolades of USA TODAY content, innovation, solutions, successes, awards, and people.
  • Enhance and own the B2B marketing strategy all the way through execution that leads to deeper client and agency awareness of the USA TODAY brand and elevates the brand to be top-of-mind amongst this targeted audience
  • Increase brand presence amongst C-level clients and advertising agencies at identified industry events.
  • Serve as a key liaison between Sales and PR and Corporate Marketing to develop industry presence roadmap including but not limited to trade panels and interviews to ensure cohesive collaboration, interpretation, and delivery.
  • Lead evolution of key USA TODAY industry touchpoints including the re-design and maintenance of the B2B Marketing site and content marketing initiatives
  • Provide executional support across owned channels and content for key industry events
Practical stuff we anticipate you bringing:
  • 5 years of experience in B2B marketing, specifically in digital media
  • Experience in/knowledge of B2B marketing development
  • Outstanding project management skills
  • Understanding of the omnichannel media landscape including digital, video, social, and native content
  • Knowledge of the entertainment, consumer electronics, financial services, and travel industries from a business perspective
  • Comfortable working in a cross-functional, matrix environment
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative, curious, self-starter who is organized, strategic, agile, and attentive to detail
  • Highly proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Willingness to adapt, a curious mindset and a commitment to an inclusive work environment
  • BS/BA degree

The annualized base salary for this role will range between $26,100 and $60,950. Variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, location, and union representation, if applicable.
