Position Description: The Branch Manager Level II is directly responsible for the efficient daily operation of all functions, including Member Relationship Development (MRD), performed at the Branch. This responsibility includes oversight that all Standard Operating Procedures are being followed, while providing a high level of member satisfaction. Administer branch functions the including daily operations, lending, product sales, member service, and security and safety in accordance with the credit union\xe2\x80\x99s objectives as needed. This position is responsible for thorough and effective staff development strategies and initiatives and contributes to a motivational culture and a sense of community across the Branch. Specific Duties Include:

  • The Branch Manager oversees the daily operations of the branch while ensuring that all monthly branch goals (loans, deposits, and MRD) are met. Responsible for the providing staff direction.
  • Ensure safety and security and viability of the branch as outlined by existing policies and procedures.
  • Review key financials for the branch, including production, relationship reporting, fee waivers, overtime budget, supply expenses and accounts as needed.
  • Consistent coaching and development of staff, including productive, weekly, documented one-on-ones and performance management which will result in branch goal attainment, member satisfaction and operational effectiveness.
  • Assist Retail department with employee training oversight; ensure all new employees are thoroughly trained in all phases of the job.
  • Encourage staff to actively participate in continuing education and learning opportunities, member relationship development, regulatory/compliance, soft skill training, etc.
  • Perform all Branch Manager Level I Branch Operations Duties and responsibilities at a higher more developing level.
  • Provide oversight and direction to staff; Communicate expectations; Plan, monitor and evaluate performance; coach, counsel, and develop employees; Manage performance and coordinate performance reviews; Recommend compensation actions; Coordinate and enforce systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Take on team building and other initiatives to keep morale up and team unity throughout the entire department.
  • Lead extra projects and tasks that may involve additional meetings outside of the department, that could be Branch impacting and/or Credit Union impacting.
  • Ensure that members are receiving a best in class experience by making decisions that benefit members and empower branch staff to assist our members in meeting their financial goals.
  • Work effectively as part of a team atmosphere to perform duties and achieve daily operational goals.
Qualifications:
  • Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.

  • A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school equivalent to approximately 64 credit hours.
