Superior Forge & Steel Corporation is currently hiring a Boiler Operator for our operation in Lima, Ohio. The Boiler Operator is a member of our Melt Department responsible for: Operating/monitoring/maintaining the boiler and associated equipment. Opening for this position is on 2nd (would train on 3rd shift) but employees must be capable of working any shift to cover production needs and absences as needed. You must have a valid High Pressure Boiler License to qualify for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain boiler and associated equipment
• Startup/shutdown of boiler and related system
• Operating/Monitoring boiler and related systems
• Performing required testing and treatment of boiler feed water
• Participate in Melt Furnace Relines as needed
• Timely reporting of any equipment issues, all deviations, and any daily production documentation
• Performs other department duties, as assigned

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions:

• Must be capable of lifting up to 55-75 lbs. occasionally
• Exposed to heat from furnace and hot metal
• Exposed to seasonal temperature changes
• Manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and vibration

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must posses a valid High Pressure Boiler License
• Previous foundry or construction experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Basic math skills
• Must be available to work any shift, including some weekends

Must pass pre-employment criminal background check, physical and drug screen

Classification: Hourly

• Eligible after 6 months; 401K program, $1.00 pr hr base wage increases with review every 6 months up to the first 24 months of employment.
