Marine Service Personnel M and J Marine seeks motivated and energetic people to fill full time, year round positions in our Service Department. No experience? We will train you! We have a position available in Boat Delivery Prep and Inspection. This will include cleaning and inspecting boats prior to delivery to our customers. We offer clean, comfortable working conditions in our newer 6 bay shop facility. Enjoy a consistent, year round work schedule in a great part of the country to live and raise a family. Job Purpose The Marine Service positions are a key component in our dealership\xe2\x80\x99s customer satisfaction. This position-holder is responsible for preparing New Boats, Used Boats and Storage Boats before delivery to our customers. This is a very important position as our last inspection before the boat is released to the owner. Primary duties and responsibilities, not limited to:
- Inspect, clean and prepare customer and dealer units.
- Washing, Waxing, Vacuuming.
- Service units in a professional manner.
- Prepare new and used inventory for showroom display.
- Report any observed defects to Service Writer.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist fellow service department employees as needed.
- Assist in delivery of Boats to customers homes as needed.
- Possess a basic knowledge of boat systems.
- Be able to practice shop safety procedures.
- Be detail-oriented while maintaining a high level of productivity.
- Ability to work Saturdays.
- Ability to operate shop trucks, tractors, trailers and equipment.
- Current Drivers License
- Shop environment that may require kneeling, bending, climbing, twisting, and lifting heavy objects.
- Required to work more than 40 hours per work week at peak boating season and during winterize season.
