JOB SUMMARY
The Benefit Service Delivery Manager manages all benefits processes and suppliers to ensure high quality and cost-effective delivery of services in their designated area of responsibility. The selected candidate is accountable for effective supplier management, administrative compliance, risk management and case management that meet the needs of the business and our employees. In addition, the Benefits Manager is responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage U.S. benefits service delivery (including qualified and non-qualified defined benefit and defined contribution plans).
  • Understanding of benefits regulatory, operational, and administrative environments.
  • Support complex implementation changes.
  • Support merger and acquisition activity.
  • Manage escalations for benefit issues and case management.
  • Analyze supplier performance through service level agreements, metrics and utilization patterns; determine opportunities for improvement.
  • Recommend and implement continuous improvement processes that meet the needs of our businesses \xe2\x80\x93 Cost effective and high-quality services.
  • Support administration and management of program changes.
  • Coordinate activity between benefit suppliers.
  • Develop and provide communications and trainings to support benefits operations.
  • Support regulatory reporting and ensure accurate and timely compliance.
  • Liaise with enterprise HR professionals to provide services that meet the needs of the business.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, development and career planning for direct reports.
  • Travel approximately 10%.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Protect and maintain the privacy of employee personnel records including, but not limited to, personal and compensation information about employees.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree (Actuarial Science, Business, Finance, Accounting or other related field).
  • Demonstrated professional benefits experience with emphasis on benefits design, administration, and implementation, and consulting on methods and models of benefits programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employee health & welfare benefits, defined benefit pension plans and defined contribution plan.
  • International benefits experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to build effective teams.
  • General knowledge of Human Resources and Information Systems.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
  • Benefits Certification, Certified Employee Benefits Specialist, Certified benefits Professional, Actuarial designation or MBA preferred.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, ability to present to management.
  • Superior customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
  • Knowledge of employee statutory requirements for benefits.
  • Knowledge of benefits systems and system interdependencies.
  • Ability to proactively manage projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
