Job Summary

The aView Rooftop Bistro is seeking a friendly, outgoing, and professional

Bartender

to provide exceptional service and craft high-quality beverages for our guests. The ideal candidate will create memorable experiences in a fast-paced rooftop environment while upholding our commitment to hospitality, safety, and cleanliness.

Primary Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure guests are satisfied with their drinks and service; respond promptly and courteously to any concerns. Check guests' identification to verify legal drinking age. Take beverage orders directly from guests or through servers. Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner; offer recommendations based on guest preferences and current specials. Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including bar top, equipment, and storage areas. Restock bar inventory and supplies such as liquor, mixers, garnishes, glassware, napkins, and straws. Handle cash and card transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems (MICROS Systems). Follow proper alcohol handling and safety procedures in accordance with Alcohol Awareness and SERV SAFE training. Comply with all local and company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines. Assist with setup and breakdown of the bar area before and after shifts, including cleaning and organizing. Attend all scheduled team meetings and actively contribute ideas and feedback. Deliver on all Marriott and Poteat Hospitality standards for service and guest experience.

Supplemental Responsibilities

Provide guests with recommendations and knowledge of menu pairings. Stay informed about local events and provide directions or information as needed. May be asked to support servers or food runners during busy periods. Ability to stand, walk, and be on your feet for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when restocking or receiving bar deliveries.
