Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and experienced Bartender to join our new opening cocktail bar. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, managing POS systems, and ensuring a high standard of food safety and cleanliness. Previous experience in cocktail bar is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment, utilizing their expertise in food and beverage operations to enhance guest satisfaction.

Duties

Prepare and serve specialty and classic cocktails accurately using POS systems. Engage with guests to provide excellent customer service, taking orders efficiently and professionally. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. Manage cash handling, cashiering, and basic math calculations for accurate billing and change. Restock bar supplies as needed and monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages. Ensure compliance with alcohol laws and responsible serving practices. Collaborate with kitchen staff for food service, or events when required. Assist in setting up for special events and private parties, ensuring all aspects of service meet quality standards. Demonstrate strong time management skills to handle multiple orders during busy periods efficiently.

Experience

Proven experience as a bartender in a bar or restaurant is preferred. Knowledge of toast POS systems is advantageous. Experience with food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures. Background in fine dining or hospitality environments is a plus. Familiarity with retail math, cash handling, and basic math skills necessary for accurate transactions. Prior experience in brewing or the food industry enhances suitability for this role. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by hospitality operations.
