We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused
Bartender
to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess strong bartending skills, excellent customer service abilities, and experience in various food and beverage settings such as fine dining, nightclubs, banquets, or catering. This role offers an exciting opportunity to serve a diverse clientele while showcasing your expertise in beverage preparation and hospitality. The successful will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, maintaining high standards of food safety, and efficiently managing bar operations using advanced POS systems like Toast POS.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner
Engage with customers to enhance their experience through friendly service and product knowledge
Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area according to food safety standards
Manage inventory levels, restock supplies, and assist with ordering when necessary
Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies
Handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations for sales and change
Collaborate with kitchen staff or event coordinators during catering, banquet events, or nightclub functions
Demonstrate effective time management during busy service hours, especially during peak times like night shifts or large events
Uphold a professional appearance and demeanor consistent with the establishment's standards
Requirements
Proven experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments; fine dining or banquet experience is a plus
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is highly desirable
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively in a fast-paced setting
Knowledge of food safety protocols, alcohol laws, and responsible beverage service practices
Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and sales transactions (retail math)
Experience working in restaurants, catering events, or banquet settings is preferred
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations efficiently
Basic understanding of brewing processes or beverage preparation techniques is advantageous
Must be at least 21 years old (or as per local legal requirements)
