Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Interact with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification to ensure legal drinking age
- Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system
- Monitor customer behavior and ensure a safe and enjoyable atmosphere
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders
- Upsell drink specials and promote new menu items
Skills:
- Sales skills to promote drinks and upsell to customers
- Knowledge of food service procedures for handling and serving food items
- Understanding of brewing techniques and different types of alcoholic beverages
- Excellent customer service skills to provide a positive experience for guests
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately
- Experience in banquet or event settings for large-scale drink service
- Familiarity with retail math for inventory management and pricing calculations
- Proficiency in operating a POS system for order entry and payment processing
- Strong hospitality skills to create a welcoming environment for guests
- Ability to perform quick mental calculations for accurate order taking and billing
