Sacred Profane Brewing & Tankpub

Sacred Profane Brewing & Tankpub is hiring a Tapster who is excited to be immersed in Czech beer culture, classic lager service, and thoughtful hospitality. This role is cross-trained as a server and is ideal for someone who values teamwork, precision, cleanliness, and guest experience as much as the beer itself.

Our beer hall and tankpub are rooted in Czech tradition, where serving beer is a craft, the bar is sacred, and hospitality is communal.

A beer-focused position grounded in Czech-style lager service A cross-trained role that includes both tapster and table service responsibilities A leadership-minded position with opportunities to support and guide teammates A highly visible role requiring professionalism, warmth, and accuracy
Responsibilities

Pour and serve Czech-style lagers with accuracy, consistency, and care Learn and uphold proper Czech beer service traditions (foam, pour styles, pacing, glassware) Provide informed, friendly table service when scheduled as a server Accurately enter orders and process payments using Toast POS Perform basic math confidently for tabs, cash handling, and tip accuracy Educate guests on our beers, brewing philosophy, and menu offerings Maintain exceptional bar cleanliness, organization, and inventory awareness Manage bar setup, breakdown, restocking, and ongoing cleanliness throughout service Support shift flow, communicate clearly with teammates, and assist with team coordination when needed Work closely with kitchen, brewing, and front-of-house teams Follow all alcohol service laws, safety standards, and company policies
What We're Looking For

Genuine interest in beer, especially lagers and traditional European styles Curiosity and respect for Czech beer and bartending culture Strong math skills and comfort handling payments and cash Experience with Toast POS or willingness to learn quickly Team-oriented mindset with the ability to help lead by example High standards for cleanliness, organization, and efficiency Calm, professional demeanor in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Willingness to cross-train, grow, and support the team beyond your station
Qualifications

Previous bartending or serving experience preferred Beer knowledge or brewery experience a plus (training provided) Experience assisting with team management or mentoring is a plus Responsible alcohol service certification required or willingness to obtain Ability to stand for long periods and lift kegs or glass racks Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
