Position Summary

The Bartender plays a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by crafting quality beverages, providing warm and engaged hospitality, and contributing to a positive team environment. The ideal candidate is outgoing, skilled in mixology, attentive in service, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy setting.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Gypsy Kitchen's recipes and standards. Provide genuine, friendly, and attentive service at the bar and to service staff. Maintain in-depth knowledge of the beverage menu, including cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits. Engage with guests, offer recommendations, and ensure an enjoyable and safe drinking experience. Manage bar inventory, restocking, and organization throughout the shift. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area in compliance with local health department regulations. Process payments accurately and maintain accountability for cash handling. Monitor guest consumption and follow all alcohol service guidelines to ensure responsible service. Collaborate with teammates and support a strong, positive culture. Assist with opening, closing, and shift change procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum 1-2 years bartending experience in a full-service, high-volume restaurant or bar. Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits. Exceptional guest-service skills and a hospitality-driven mindset. Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain calm under pressure. Must meet local age requirements for alcohol service. Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Current alcohol service certification preferred (e.g., ServSafe Alcohol).
