Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and passionate barber to join our team and provide exceptional grooming services to our clientele. This role requires a blend of artistic craftsmanship, strong customer service, and a keen understanding of modern grooming trends.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities may include providing various barbering services and maintaining a clean work area. Barbers often consult with clients and stay current on industry trends. Building client relationships and adhering to health and safety regulations are also typical duties.

May perform a range of tasks related to hair cutting and styling but may also perform administrative tasks and managerial duties if they are in a supervisory or ownership role. Barbers are primarily responsible for directly assisting clients, with daily duties including:

Assess hair and scalp health and recommend treatments and products Consult with clients and advise hairstyle and hair treatment options Cut and style hair to client's specifications Use chemical solutions, hair dyes and hot styling tools Maintain salon sanitation and health standards, including cleaning and disinfecting workstations Trim and groom clients' facial hair with combs, razors, scissors and clippers Process client payments Order barber supplies
Qualifications and skills

Key skills and qualifications often include proficiency in using barbering tools, knowledge of hair care products, and an understanding of health and hygiene. Attention to detail, ability to work in a team, a positive attitude, and flexibility are also valuable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are important. Barbers typically need to stand for extended periods and may require a valid barbering license. Experience with diverse hair types is preferred.
