Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic

Bar Manager

to oversee daily operations of our bar and beverage service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food and beverage management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The Bar Manager will play a key role in driving sales, managing inventory, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Duties



Supervise and coordinate daily bar operations, including staff scheduling, shift management, and ensuring smooth service flow. Oversee food and beverage preparation, ensuring quality standards are met in both casual dining and fine dining settings. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste. Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; perform cash handling duties responsibly. Train, develop, and mentor bar staff to enhance their skills in customer service, food safety, and operational procedures. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to food handling, alcohol service, and sanitation standards. Coordinate with kitchen management on food production, catering events, banquets, and special functions like weddings or corporate gatherings. Maintain a clean, organized environment that adheres to all safety protocols. Assist in budgeting efforts by monitoring expenses related to staffing, inventory, and supplies. Lead efforts in customer service excellence to foster repeat business and positive reviews.

Skills



Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management with a focus on bar operations. Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise. Excellent leadership skills with prior staff training & development experience; supervisory skills are essential. Experience managing inventory control, budgeting, and cost analysis within the food industry. Background in fine dining or casual dining environments; banquet or catering experience is a plus. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced setting; shift management experience is preferred. Knowledge of culinary techniques related to food production for diverse menus including bar offerings. Hospitality management background with experience in hotel or restaurant settings preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to interview candidates and lead team meetings effectively. Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
