American Legion Apache Post 27 provides services to military veterans and their families including a place to build community, socialize, have a good meal and enjoy a variety of entertainment. We are applications for a Bar Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and exceptional customer service skills, with experience in private club environments. As a working Bar Manager in addition to supervising bar staff and administrative duties. The position offered is full time with hourly pay plus tips. Duties

Manage all aspects of bar operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Lead, train, and develop bar staff to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and beverage presentation. Oversee food preparation and beverage service, ensuring quality control in line with company standards. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and health regulations. Engage with customers, providing recommendations and ensuring a positive dining experience. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments through POS systems. Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and placing orders as needed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service during busy periods, including catering and banquet events. Demonstrate knowledge of brewing techniques and cocktail recipes to enhance guest satisfaction. Uphold high standards of hospitality while managing time effectively during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels regularly to prevent shortages or overstocking; coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries. Supervise staff scheduling, shift management, and performance evaluations to optimize team productivity. Ensure adherence to food handling protocols, sanitation standards, and alcohol service regulations. Collaborate with kitchen management on food production, catering events, banquets, and special functions to deliver seamless service. Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction; foster a welcoming environment that encourages repeat business. Assist in budgeting efforts by tracking sales data, controlling costs, and maximizing profitability. Conduct staff training sessions on food safety practices, culinary techniques, hospitality standards, and new menu offerings. Participate in interviewing potential team members to build a skilled and motivated staff.

Experience

Candidates should have extensive experience in bar management within fast-paced environments such as quick service restaurants or casual dining establishments. Proven supervising experience in bar/restaurant or hospitality management is essential. Familiarity with POS systems like Clover is required along with strong skills in cash handling and inventory control. Skills

Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent sales abilities to promote menu items and increase beverage sales. Familiarity with food safety practices, food handling procedures, and basic math for accurate cash handling. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a friendly demeanor towards guests. Adhere to Local, State and Federal laws regarding serving and sales of alcohol.

Pay: From $14.70 per hour
