The Bar Manager will be responsible for supervising all aspects of bar operations, including inventory control, staff training, and ensuring adherence to health regulations. Previous hospitality management experience, particularly in casual dining or fine dining settings, is highly valued.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service
Manage staff schedules, supervise team members, and facilitate staff training & development
Maintain high standards of customer service and ensure guest satisfaction
Control inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food & beverage stock using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
Handle cash transactions accurately and oversee cash handling procedures
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations
Coordinate with kitchen staff for food preparation, food safety, and quality control
Supervise food production, catering events, banquets, and special functions
Monitor shift management to optimize productivity and service quality
Conduct interviews for hiring new team members and participate in staff performance evaluations
Implement policies related to hospitality management, food handling, and restaurant management
Experience
Proven management experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment, ideally within casual dining or fine dining settings
Extensive knowledge of food service management including kitchen management, food safety, and culinary practices
Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise required
Supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or bar setting; team management skills essential
Background in food preparation, cooking, or culinary arts preferred
Familiarity with inventory control, budgeting, training & development programs
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
Prior experience in managing shifts within the food industry or restaurant management roles is highly desirable
