: Role Summary/Purpose: Reporting to the VP, Consumer Banking Compliance Leader, this role will contribute to consumer compliance and operational risk oversight of deposit products and services across the product lifecycle. We\xe2\x80\x99re proud to offer you choice and flexibility. You have the option to be remote, and work from home, or come into one of our offices. You may be occasionally requested to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events. Essential Responsibilities:
  • Work with VP, Consumer Banking Compliance Leader to ensure adherence to all applicable state and federal deposit laws and regulations
  • Analyze compliance and operational risks inherent in Consumer Banking deposit products, services, and operations
  • Evaluate controls related to compliance and operational risks and, under the direction of VP, Consumer Banking Compliance Leader, calculate residual risk scores
  • Help manage assigned Critical to Compliance (CTC) requirements by:
    • Having eGRC and CTC knowledge
    • Ensure proper alignment to business processes
    • Facilitate change management as applicable
    • Set the inherent risk rating (IRR) for new CTCs as applicable
    • Review process risk controls that are in place and documented by the 1st line of defense to ensure correct alignment to CTC risks and controls
  • Assist with compliance and operational risk assessments and targeted reviews.
  • Assist with day-to-day oversight activities, including review and credible challenge of deposits-related policies, procedures, job aids, and control activities
  • Foster effective relationships with all functional areas of Consumer Banking business
  • Help the business embed effective tools, systems and controls for analyzing and monitoring regulatory risks; be an expert on appropriate controls and documentation of compliance and operational risk management
  • Drive effective identification and management of compliance and operational risks, provide solutions, and assist resolution
  • Other duties & functions as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree and 3+ years of risk management or compliance experience in financial services or in lieu of the Bachelors, a minimum of 6+ years of risk or compliance experience
  • Ability to interrupt and apply various laws and regulations such as Regulation DD, Regulation E, and Regulation D
  • Working knowledge of bank policies, procedures and operations related to deposit products
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point and Access)

Grade/Level: 11
The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible. Eligibility Requirements:
  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months\xe2\x80\x99 time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months\xe2\x80\x99 time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don\xe2\x80\x99t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
