Job Title: Automation Implementation Supervisor

Department: Management

Reports To: Director of Continuous Improvement

Position Type: Full Time Exempt

Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00

Purpose of Position: * 1. To lead the installation and implementation phase of various automation projects across the company.

  • To implement and support project strategy considering timelines, impacts, and risk.
  • To train operations and management on the new technologies and automation.

Safety: Follows all rules, guideline, and practices. Informs supervisor / manager immediately if unsafe conduct or conditions arise.

Position Competency * The ability to handle 3 active implementation projects at a time.
  • The ability to effectively communicate project status, requirements, and requests with operations, engineering, and management.
  • The ability to use and read AutoCAD drawings and diagrams
  • The ability to understand and read technical machine requirements, documents and schematics (including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and controls).
  • The ability to coordinate multiple vendor installation timelines and resource requirements with company internal departments
  • The ability to work with engineering teams to improve system designs and create effect installation and implementation strategies.
  • The ability to learn new technologies and automation systems.
  • The ability to introduce new programs or systems into the workplace effectively.
Position Expectations

Continuous Improvement * Lead and manage the installation and implementation phase of new automation capital projects into company facilities
  • Identify, evaluate and prioritizes automation project requirements
  • Solicit input from all levels of the organization to identify overall project needs, departmental level requirements, and installation strategy.
  • Identify the resources needed to successfully achieve the goals for each installation
  • Make and recommend installation decisions prioritizing project and company goals, evaluating cost benefit, and all effects on final project.
  • Report or review weekly with the Continuous Improvement Director the current status of all projects
Project Management * Communicate, monitor and report weekly to all involved the status (achievement\'s, gaps, failures, next steps) of each project
  • Motivate and drive the team of each implementation to achieve the milestones and goals of each project
  • Work with the project manager to manage changes to the project schedule and project scope.
Implementation * Provide support until the implementation/installation has been completed.
  • Perform and lead the setup, configuration, and testing of new equipment following project requirements, drawings, and design documents.
  • Ensure technological and physical compatibility of all designs with each other and facility locations.
  • Maintain constant review of tasks and statuses.
  • Train operations and management on the new products and the appropriate equipment workflows to fit their needs.
  • Participate in internal project team weekly status meetings with customer.
  • Coordinate with client and internal groups for requirements of implementation to be sure of a successful and timely delivery.
Miscellaneous * Willing to travel to different company facilities.
