Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Associate Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Quality Test Specialist who is interested in joining our Composite Fabrication team in Salt Lake City and West Jordan, Utah.

The selected candidate will be learning how to perform Non-Destructive Inspection though classroom and on the Job training. A successful candidate in this role will conduct non-destructive inspection. They will train and demonstrate the ability to gain a NAS 410 or equivalent level I certifications. They will also analyze data and documents and communicate their recommendations to their respective manager.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs basic setup of specialized non-destructive test or measurement equipment.
  • Performs limited tests or inspections and collects data for evaluation of products or materials.
  • Performs limited analysis of routine test, inspection or statistical data to determine product and processes conformity.
  • Analyzes inspection of composite structures for internal defects per applicable standards, codes and specifications.
  • Assists in the documentation of procedures for setting up stage and prepare parts for test; operate robotic scanning equipment.
  • Assists in manually test parts with hand yokes and/or contact probes.
  • Defines problem, collects data, and draws valid conclusions.
  • Trains for certifications under the direct observation of Ultrasonic Level 2 or Level 3 personnel.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a \xe2\x80\x9cUS Person\xe2\x80\x9d as defined by 22 C.F.R. \xc2\xa7 120.15 is required. \xe2\x80\x9cUS Person\xe2\x80\x9d includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 1+ years of experience in ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures.
  • 1+ years of experience in effective written and verbal communication demonstrated experience in presentation, speaking, report writing, procedures.
  • Must be willing and able to work variable shifts.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Associate\'s Degree.
  • Ability to attend classes in Ultrasonic Testing and shall certify Level 1 within 13 months and Level 2 within 22 months of hire.
  • 1+ years of experience working with Automated NDT inspection equipment.
  • 1+ years of experience in Quality.
  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced role with strict deadlines.
  • Experience working both independently and in team environments.
Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years\' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years\' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range: $49,300 - $66,700
