This position will provide legal and regulatory guidance to mitigate and avoid financial and reputation harm related to contractual obligations and risks regarding bank operations.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Advise on prudential bank regulations
  • Work across departments to prepare, advise and support maintenance of documentation and procedures across a dynamic bank
  • Provide transactional support and manage external counsel in connection with same
  • Continuously anticipate and identify potential legal and regulatory risks and work in cross-disciplinary teams to reduce those risks
  • Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required

The successful candidate will possess strong verbal and written communication skills, pragmatism, sound judgment, and business instincts. Comfort with varied viewpoints and ability to synthesize regulatory requirements with operational capabilities will support a growing business. Delegating work and operating in a matrixed environment will be important qualities for the successful candidate. Prior experience at a prudential regulator or in-house are desired.

  • Juris Doctorate degree and license to practice in any U.S. jurisdiction
  • 5+ years of related experience with a financial regulator, financial institution, or law firm
  • Deep knowledge of one or more prudential regulator

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with industrial banks
  • Experience working with multiple financial regulators
