Job Summary

As part of our internal agency at Vail Resorts, the Associate Creative Director will work alongside the Creative Director to help manage a team of Copywriters and Art Directors. This person will inspire and guide creatives as they develop and execute campaigns for brands across the enterprise. In addition to the management side of the position, they will also be expected to consistently come up with concepts and visual solutions to creative briefs.

This role requires a person that can think strategically while pushing brands into more innovative and creative spaces. They are viewed as a creative expert and leader in their discipline and can present their work to brand partners in a persuasive and effective manner.

Job Specifications:

  • Outlet: Corporate Remote
  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Year Round / Full Time
  • The budgeted range starts at $100,000 - $121,000 + annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing creative teams both internally and externally.
  • Provide creative direction to the internal team as well freelancers that results in outstanding strategic creative.
  • Concepting and executing brand campaigns across all necessary channels.
  • Grow creative talent and develop a strong, positive team culture.
  • Help lead the creative vision in partnership with internal brand partners.
  • Keep a pulse on new and emerging trends that impact the culture of our category and beyond.
  • Communicate effectively to team members including account, creative, studio, and stakeholders.
  • Translate business objectives outline in creative briefs into clear creative strategies.
  • Manage multiple projects at once, ensuring they adhere to timelines and deadlines.
  • Ability to present work from a strategic point of view that aligns to business objectives.
  • Able to translate feedback to arrive at stronger, creative solutions.
  • Use creative tools and platforms effectively.
  • Support and champion diversity and inclusion, seeking out a wide range of perspectives and talent backgrounds.
  • Help lead production development of content shoots for video and photography.
  • Help manage the creative freelance budget and ensure vendors are being paid on schedule.
Job Requirements
  • 8+ years in an art direction or design field, ad agency and/or internal brand
  • 3+ years managing team of creatives
  • Strong design and visual skills with attention to detail
  • Able to effectively collaboration and work cross-functionally
  • High-level of execution with Adobe Creative Suite programs
  • Able to use/learn WorkFront to manage creative projects
  • All-around positive outlook and attitude

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $100,000 - $121,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
