Job Description



  • Play a crucial role in the creation of timely, forward-looking, credit-focused research, through a combination of editing, writing and coaching.
  • Encourage, propose and vet research ideas.
  • Craft reports in partnership with analysts \xe2\x80\x93 from idea generation through publication.
  • Work with analysts to decide the best medium for the message: narrative report, infographic, podcast, video.
  • Seek opportunities to improve the research process.
  • Cultivate partnerships with analytical teams, research colleagues and others across Moody\xe2\x80\x99s.
  • Focus on macroeconomics and sovereigns/sub-sovereigns but also work on research about other sectors in the context of capital and debt markets.

  • A relevant university degree such as economics, business, finance or journalism and/or experience in financial journalism or financial writing at a reputable news or research organization.
  • Candidates from academia with relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Strong writing skills, including headline writing and copyediting.
  • Strong news and editorial judgment.
  • Self-starter and ability to balance multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a group without need for close supervision.
  • Highly organized, efficient and strong attention to detail.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $129,200 to $187,400, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
