The Assistant Director, Clinical Operations is responsible for providing overall scientific and operational leadership of clinical studies from inception through close-out in in accordance with Xcenda Standard Operating Procedures and all applicable regulatory requirements.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


The responsibilities of the position may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Overall responsibility for the design and execution of multiple clinical studies from inception through close-out with responsibility for all study components
  • Provides leadership to the internal study team and vendors to ensure work quality, execution and adherence to all deliverables, milestones, and budget parameters
  • Evaluates scientific literature and current clinical practice in support of independently authoring study protocols, study manuals, informed consent forms, CRFs, ICFs, SAPs, CSRs, and related documents
  • Ensures all clinical programs are conducted in accordance with applicable SOPs, ICH, GCP and other applicable regulations
  • Acts as the primary client liaison and leads client meetings including preparation of agendas and minutes
  • Independently develops clinical study scope, resource needs, timelines, metrics, and budget estimates
  • Leads new business development opportunities including identification, proposal development and capability presentations
  • Responsible for all study financials including resourcing, allocating of backlog and tracking
  • Development of SOPs
  • May conducts in-person and remote monitoring visits and prepares visit reports
  • This role may have direct reports
  • Other duties as assigned























What your background should look like
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in life-sciences or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years clinical research experience in the pharmaceutical industry (Pharma or CRO) with at least 3 years of clinical project management experience with increasing levels of responsibilities
  • Strong working knowledge of GCPs and Federal Regulations
  • High level of organization
  • Self-motivated to manage multiples sites and projects simultaneously
  • Previous experience with electronic data capture systems is preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

$142,600 - 204,050
  • This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
