Job Summary
The Assistant Accountant at The McCloud Group reports to the Sr. Accountant. The Assistant Accountant is responsible for assisting in maintaining all business documents. Additionally, he/she is responsible for data assimilation, financial analysis, claims administration & quality assurance, client relations, and general administration.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Assistant Accountant would be responsible for working closely with the Sr. Accountant for the Accounts Receivable as well as Accounts Payable. The job scope of the Accounts Receivable include preparation of monthly invoices and maintaining customer and vendor records, and the essential elements of Accounts Payable include purchase orders and vendor records maintenance.
More job responsibilities for the Assistant Account is as follows:
Accounts Payable:
Help process accounts payable for time and accurate payments.
Help prepare, code and distribute expense reimbursement and payments to employees.
Help reconcile vendor accounts and statements
Maintenance and filing of all vendor documents as well as assisting in data entry for month end and year end closing.
Help perform other related duties as required.
Accounts Receivable:
Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures, following established procedures for processing invoices, receipts, cash, etc.
Assist with and/or prepare contract invoices according to terms of the contracts.
Assist with preparing journal entries and input revenue accruals.
Maintain thorough, well organized accounts receivable customer files.
Requirements & Skills
Possess a Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field from an accredited college or university
Have a minimum of (2) years of full time experience in bookkeeping with computer literacy
Have a minimum of (1) year of experience working in Accounting with Quickbooks.
