Craftsmen Contractors is hiring Assembly Technicians for a manufacturing facility in Minden, La. These are temp to permanent positions and you will need to do a face to face interview. You will also need to pass a criminal background check and pass a pre-employment drug screen. Pay is $13 - $20/hr. depending on experience. No per diem is offered. Job Duties:
- Assist in reading blueprints to determine placement of carpentry components in building.
- Assist in cutting wall paneling and other carpentry components with various saws.
- Apply glue to plywood, and installs on walls and floor per specifications.
- Install various other wall and ceiling paneling with glues and fasteners using hand and power tools.
- Install molding and related trim materials to interior of building with fasteners and hand or power tools.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by crew leader or supervisor.
- Ensure that work area and buildings are clean and free of debris.
- Have ALL PPE.
- Ability to ascend, descend and work overhead from a ladder and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to stoop, crouch, and kneel to apply paneling and to work overhead.
- Ability to use various hand and power tools and to lift up to 50 lbs. when moving materials on the job.
- Clear vision and ability to determine and distinguish color.
- Demonstrate basic math skills, mechanical aptitude read a tape measure.
- Read blueprints, communicate effectively, have good judgment and attention to detail.
- Ability to read, comprehend and assimilate information.
- Ability to maintain satisfactory working relationships and interact effectively with all levels of employees. Must be a team player.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Will need to pass a criminal background check (going back 7 years), drug screen (10-panel) and must do a face to face interview before being hired.
