Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Carpenter / Laborer to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry and construction projects. The role provides an excellent opportunity to develop skills in multiple trades within the construction industry, including framing, temporary shoring structures, and post & beam work. Candidates should be eager to learn, reliable, and physically capable of handling demanding tasks on diverse job sites.

Duties

Support concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry tasks as needed Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to assist with project planning Perform heavy lifting and physical labor including material movement and site cleanup. Job includes working in crawlspaces and under structures. Support the team in all phases of construction from demolition to finishing touches Install new post and beam sections in crawlspaces and decks. Temporarily shore structures to allow for removal and replacement of posts.

Experience

Prior experience in construction or related fields such as manufacturing or restoration industry is a plus but not required Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction techniques preferred Experience reading blueprints or schematics is advantageous Knowledge of various trades including carpentry (woodworking), masonry, roofing, and flooring installation is beneficial No formal experience required; training will be provided for motivated individuals eager to learn all aspects of carpentry and construction

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
