Job Description


This role provides advanced direct analytic support for multiple products within the Business Intelligence/Market Analytics department. You will design and develop innovative analytical tools, including dashboards and self-service applications. The role requires the ability to understand functional and non-functional requirements, develop effective design and implementation approaches delivering automated solutions that meet the business needs, and provide support to the end users.

You will analyze large amounts of data stored in a data warehouse or data mart to find relationships and patterns. This role will include supporting and providing direction to more junior professionals. You will work autonomously, only requiring "expert" level technical support from others. You will exercise judgment in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation of both standard and complex techniques and procedures. You will utilize in-depth professional knowledge and acumen to develop models and procedures, and monitor trends, within Information Management.

About the Department

Clinical Research & New Solutions develops, deploys and manages programs and capabilities rooted in health decision science. This department serves clients and patients through programs and services that support better drug choices, better pharmacy choices, and better health choices. The department includes Knowledge Solutions, Consumer Solutions, Research & New Solutions and Clinical Services. In Knowledge Solutions, which this role resides within provides best-in-class analytics to our customers by creating efficiencies via Self-Service tools, improved processes, and delivering new innovative Business Intelligence solutions to drive new sales, client retention and upsells.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new reports, models and analytic solutions with innovative ways to present data in order to support the product team.
  • Query data warehouse(s) using variety of tools available.
  • Extract data and manipulate into reports for client both internal and external audiences.
  • Strong use of front-end application development in ASP .NET using C# (C Sharp), JavaScript and jQuery and the back-end code development in Teradata and SQL server.
  • Cross functional collaboration with Product Management, Account Management, Research, Advanced Analytics, and internal Knowledge Solutions areas
  • Effectively communicate goals, outcomes, and direction to all stakeholders
  • Work independently, particularly as a member of a virtual or geographically dispersed team
  • Special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of .Net with C# experience with ASP.Net Web Forms
  • 2+ years of JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, HTML/HTML5
  • 2+ years of strong SQL query skills, SQL performance tuning & 4+ optimization, SQL Server stored procedures
  • Experience with Teradata, Tableau, Alteryx, R,Python and SAS experience highly preferred
  • Pharmacy Claim data background is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, problems solve, and work in fast paced environment.
  • Solid communication skills (written & oral) with the ability to prepare clear and concise presentations, technical design / architecture specifications, status and other written artifacts.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage workload and meet project deadlines
