Role Summary

The role of the Director - Evernorth Training, Coaching, and Onboarding, leads a team that is part of the Evernorth Growth Office within the Buyer Enablement organization. The position will have responsibility for leading a team whom is responsible for planning, preparation, and execution on training plans, presenter/presence coaching, as well as sales onboarding resources and process. It is important for the candidate to have strong critical thinking skills, talent development and leadership experience, be detail oriented, and communicate complex plans with clarity and purpose. This role will have a close partnership and collaborative relationship with various cross functional teams and leaders within the organization to drive creative development, coaching, and onboarding strategies.

S/he must be able to operate in a highly matrixed global organization and collaborate with a team of professionals establishing strong relationships, effectively communicating, and proactively building multiyear strategic roadmaps to increase engagement and effectiveness through training, coaching, and onboarding.

Key Responsibilities

The Director - Evernorth Training, Coaching, and Onboarding will lead a team responsible for:

  • Performing ad hoc analysis to identify trends and makes recommendations for process and/or training improvements
  • Designing curriculum/content (tests, visual aids, etc.), select appropriate delivery mechanisms (i.e., classroom, webcast, e-learning, etc.) and conducts training
  • Developing and monitors metrics for evaluating training effectiveness
  • Leveraging practices outlined by current recommendations and our existing team(s) to help create and manage a best-in-class sales and account management onboarding program; create and manage the strategic roadmap
  • Proactively connect with peers to stay apprised of enterprise initiatives that may need to be woven into training, coaching and the onboarding experience
  • Work in tandem with other teams such as sales, account management, marketing, etc. to ensure the successful implementation of plans and coaching across Evernorth as a whole, or specific lines of business as appropriate
  • Planning and executing the Evernorth annual training event (Shoulder to Shoulder) through collaboration with cross functional leadership with an aim to empower and enable attendees to effectively perform their roles
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s Degree with 10 years of experience or Master\'s Degree with 6 years of experience
  • Strong leadership skills and experience leading a team
  • Exceptional influence skills and executive presence when working with Sr. Leadership
  • Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives
  • Experience organizing, directing and influencing multiple teams and departments
  • Excellent communicator in written and verbal form
  • Extremely versatile, dedicated to efficient business productivity and processes
  • Excellent planning and strong problem solving skills that enable quick identification and efficient resolution of issues
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to influence peers and senior leaders and build strong professional relationships, especially in a highly matrixed organization
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel); working knowledge of software development
  • Comfortable working with multiple teams, in-house and remote
  • High degree of comfort working in a fast past environment and be able to manage multiple initiatives/projects simultaneously
  • Strong project management skill and experience
  • Ability to gain fundamental understanding of new methodologies, technologies, and the health service industry
