Are you ready to use your leadership skills in aviation regulations and aircraft maintenance in a managerial position? Join our team! As an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling all aircraft repair and maintenance activities and ensuring those activities are performed safely, on-time, and within budget. You\'ll ensure all foreign object inspections and activities are completed, ensure projects are properly staffed with qualified employees and establish work standards, hours of work and appropriate shifts to be worked to accomplish work on small programs. You\'ll also review maintenance delays and system problems in order to suggest improvements to maintenance processes and procedures. You will have overall responsibility for the airworthiness of the fleet and will ensure safe and adequate maintenance is performed at all times with the exception of platform supporting programs.

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Familiarity with aviation safety standards, FAA regulations, policies, and procedures and safe operating practices
  • Basic understanding of Aircraft Maintenance and Inspection processes and procedures and/or returning planes to service
  • Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
  • Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification with no prior FAA violations
  • Ability to obtain Inspection Authorization (IA) certificate
  • Advanced experience with and knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment and parts
  • Experience with corrective action planning
  • Previous management or lead experience; the ability to recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence
  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
Preferred:
  • Typically 0-2 years of relevant experience - A higher level degree may substitute for experience
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
  • Experience in a manufacturing, production or warehouse environment
  • Thorough understanding and experience with the practical application of manufacturing principles
  • Current Federal Aviation Administration Inspection Authorization (IA) certificate\xe2\x80\x8b
  • Previous experience involving production control
