Job Description

SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for all Crop fertility programs, budgets, and execution of the strategy across all production regions of Limoneira. Reports to the VP of Farming
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Limoneira\xe2\x80\x99s job descriptions describe the key areas of responsibility but do not attempt to describe all activities or areas of responsibility. In most cases, the description covers approximately 80% of an individual\'s daily, weekly, or monthly job duties.

• 
  Responsible for all crop fertility programs across all regions.
• Coordinates all soil and foliar samplings of all farms.
• Prepare reports to present to Management based on data collected; work actively with the VP of Farming to analyze information.
• The Agronomist will help execute and improve the agronomy program for all crops in all production regions with a specific focus on soil health and crop fertility.
• The Job will be hands-on with significant time spent in the field assessing crop performance.
• Will also work with others in the company to develop strategies for satisfying regulatory requirements related to water, nutrient, and pesticide use.
• Also responsible for keeping the company informed on significant changes in the industry, including emerging regulatory issues related to crop production.
• Order and Maintain all information pertaining to agronomical programs, and research projects and integrate it into weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly dashboards
• Use statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful business reports.
• Interact with Directors and Ranch Managers from all producing regions to gather information from all technical and cultural aspects of operations (irrigation, fertilization, pest control, productivity)
• Work with management to create a prioritized list of needs for each division.
• Work continuously with Field Operations to guarantee the execution of programs in a timely manner.
• Identify and recommend new ways to save money or increase production by streamlining or improving business processes.
• Use data to create models that depict trends in production in blocks, ranches, divisions
• Other projects as deemed necessary by Management

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Must have a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Agronomy or equivalent, at least 5 years of ranch management experience

In addition, the employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, must have hand and feet dexterity, be able to twist from left to right and right to left at the waist and neck, and must have normal or corrected to 20/40 eyesight. The employee will need to talk, hear, and smell. The employee must be able to drive long distances.
