Description: AGRONOMY ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT FLSA Status: Full-Time/Non-Exempt (Hourly) Reports to: Location Manager Summary: Assist with branch activity and customer service operations on a daily basis. Accounts receivable, support services, ordering, paperwork, inventory, communication, telephone inquiries, bank deposits, safety/ASMARK documentation, interaction with Central Office, and point of contact/external liaison with customers. Requirements: Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Exceptional customer service in all capacities: telephone, walk in, e-mail, fax, scan, mailed correspondence
  • Professional communication of pertinent information to the Manager as well as to customers and other staff
  • Daily use of Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills, Ceres Solutions software (AgVantage) and some use of ag-based programs
  • Significant inventory, accounts receivable, math, and analytical skills
  • Create daily positive environment through behaviors, reliable punctuality, and familiarity with operations
  • All administrative support for facility, equipment, inventory, and inspection documentation as required
  • Perform all responsibilities independently, safely, and in compliance with environmental stewardship regulations

Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat.
