Are you looking to lead a small school Ag Science and FFA program with a supportive administration and community? Come be a part of the Lazbuddie ISD Team! Lazbuddie High School is looking for a dynamic, student-centered, Agricultural Science teacher for the 2023-2024 school year.Salary is based on a 12 month contract with a $5000 Ag Stipend plus $1000 above state base. A school pickup is also provided for school use for the Ag Science Teacher.

Housing is available with most utilities paid, including electricity. Lazbuddie ISD will be implementing a Four-Day Instructional Week for the 2023-2024 school year. Currently the position would include teaching high school and some junior high Agricultural Science classes. Some courses could be offered based on the instructor\'s strengths and experiences.

The teacher would be creative with instruction and know how to plan and implement effective hands-on lessons to prepare students to be successful in future college and career experiences.Experience in welding, animal science, FFA CDEs and LDEs, and assisting students with county and major Texas stock shows is preferred. Current Texas Agricultural Science and Technology Certification or ability to be certified with the next year is preferred. Additional certifications are a plus.Lazbuddie ISD is a UIL Class A school located in Parmer County. We are in Texas FFA Area I.

The community has a agricultural-based economy focused on dairy, farming, feedlot, and cattle operations. The Lazbuddie community and surrounding area has various opportunities for field experiences for students. We are about 17 minutes from Muleshoe; 25 minutes from Dimmitt, Friona, Bovina, and Farwell; 40 minutes from Clovis; 60 minutes from Canyon, and only 75 minutes from Lubbock and Amarillo.
