Join our team! As a Systems Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify and improve cutting-edge products and services. You\'ll be developing complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms, ushering them from operational concepts through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and testing using progressive tools. As a cross-functional engineer, you are in charge of system-level ownership of new products and processes through the product lifecycle.

The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection, and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, and commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering, and full lifecycle management across domains \xe2\x80\x93 air, land, sea, space, and cyber.

As a systems engineer, you will be heavily involved at the beginning of the program working requirements management, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Design, and Interconnect Block Diagrams. Additionally, the systems engineer is also responsible for systems analysis tasks such as Thermal Analysis, RF Co-site Analysis, Electrical Loads Analysis, Lightning Analysis, and Weight and Balance. Depending on the size of the project, you may work independently or with a small team of other systems engineers.

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
  • Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
  • Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
Preferred:

Experience with requirements management and system modeling tools, such as DOORS, Rhapsody, NoMagic, MATLAB

Practical knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles, including, but not limited to requirements management, Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)

Experience or certification in INCOSE standards

Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry

Ability to administer baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of high-impact trade studies and other measures

Exposure to establishing and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM)
