Embracing Service, Inspiring Innovation, Promoting Teamwork, Pursuing Excellence, and Advancing Equity Under the supervision of the Administration Assistant, the Administrative Specialist would provide customer service to assist clients with Preventive Health services.

Client Services:
- Meet, interview, and direct public health clients in accordance with the Preventive Health program and agency policies.

-Process information, complete medical records, and enter all client information into applicable electronic applications.

-Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments as needed.

-Screen and update eligibility based on program requirements.

-Archive charts and respond to records requests as needed per agency policies.

-May be required to lift periodically up to thirty (30) pounds; and stand for periods of time.

-Maintaining confidentiality of protected health information (PHI).

Training and Reporting:
- Customer service and cultural competency.

-Attend relevant program and agency training and meetings when scheduled.

-Ensure necessary materials and resources are always being utilized when there are changes agency wide.

-Prepare and submit required reports for auditing purposes.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.

Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Applicants indicating college credit or degree(s) on the application may upload an unofficial copy of the transcript as an attachment to the application. Please note that the agency will require an official, certified copy of the transcript or diploma prior to hiring.

Agency Additional Requirements: High School diploma or GED and two (2) years of medical office/clinical clerical office experience which includes public contact or an Associates\' Degree in Secretarial Science or a related field and one (1) year of medical office/clinical clerical office experience

Preferred Qualifications

-Bilingual in Spanish/English

-One (1) year experience with electronic health/medical records; and one (1) year experience with other third party insurance billing.

-Must have current driver\'s license or ability to obtain transportation.

-Must be able to lift (30) pounds and stand for long periods.

Additional Comments

DRIVING RECORD: If this position requires the applicant to possess a valid driver\'s license to operate a state vehicle or personal vehicle, any applicant being considered in the final stages of selection for the position will be required to provide a certified copy of a 10-year driving record.
