PLACE OF WORK: Dugway Proving Ground is seeking applicants for a Training Specialist/Action Officer in the Plans and Operations Branch, Operations Division on Dugway Proving Ground, UT. Dugway Proving Ground is approximately 50 minutes from Tooele, Utah, and 90-minute drive from Salt Lake City, Utah. Selection of this position will be made at any level for which advertised. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Serves as the West Desert Test Center (WDTC) Action Officer for the WDTC Training Program with responsibility for overall formulation, planning and administration of the WDTC training program and associated budget. Manages individual, collective and acquisition training programs and establishes and implements training guidance, determines training requirements, processes training requests and obtains course quotas for WDTC and subordinate Divisions and staff. Develops and maintains a training program that satisfies the requirements of Department of Defense Acquisition Certification Program. Serves as the primary operations information management specialist and advisor to the Chief, Operations Division for matters involving Serious Incident Reporting (SIR) and Command Critical Information Requirements (CCIR). Responds to inquiries, taskers, and requests for information from higher and subordinate commands and staff as required. Serves as the Deputy Emergency Management Specialist for the Test Center. Plans, coordinates and oversees WDTC support to the Chemical Mishap Incidence and Response Assistance (CMIRA) and Biological Incident Mishap Response (BMIR) operations. Performs duties in the Ditto Operations Center (DOC) during actual/simulated emergency management exercises. Ensures timely and accurate information flow between the Installation Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and the DOC. OR Education substitution: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Education. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
