Job Description


This position does have a direct report. We have one Job Cost Accountant that handles WIP reviews with Operations, Job Write-Ups and Change Orders with the Divisions.

Job Summary:

The Controller position is responsible for the accounting operations of the company, to include construction WIP job cost, production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company\'s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards in particular Mexico. * Maintain GL

  • Prepare Finance Statements
  • Daily Cash Flow Monitoring/Banking
  • Workers Comp Reporting
  • Insurance Reporting
  • Monthly/Annual GL Reconciliations
  • Annual Audit Coordination
  • Annual Tax Return Information to Auditors
  • Maintain Equipment in Foundation
  • Problem Resolution and Back Up In All Areas
  • Develop Job Cost Accountant
Duties:
  • Over/under management
  • Establish and track annual budgets plan vs. actual
  • Cash flow projections
  • Periodic financial statements
  • Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report
  • Compliance
  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit
  • Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Experience:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major industrial/commercial construction company or division of a large corporation. Preference will be given to candidates with the Certified Public Accountant accreditation.
  • Ability to create and assess financial statements and budget documents.
  • Supervise staff, including regular progress reviews and plans for improvement.
