DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This employee assists the County Fiscal Officer and Administrative Staff in performing and/or overseeing the posting of revenue and expenditure data to the county financial system as well as reviewing provider budgets and invoices in addition to other tasks.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year of professional accounting experience and graduation from a four year college or university, including or supplemented by 15 credits in accounting; or
  • One year as a Fiscal Technician and 15 college credits in accounting; or
  • Five years of bookkeeping experience; and 15 college credits in accounting.

Hiring preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live within Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton or Schuylkill counties.
