Blue Sky Innovative Solutions is looking for a Security Architect to assist our federal customers with defining and implementing zero trust strategies following CISA and NIST guidance.

Position Description:

• Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in designing and implementing solutions around Zero Trust Architecture and guiding customers to Optimum Maturity.
• Identifies and evaluates business needs for security gaps and will help to create and implement security strategies and plans that benefit from ZTA technologies.
• Anticipates security requirements and identifies sound security controls for applications, systems, processes, and organizations that leverage ZTA capabilities or broader enterprise needs for the application and use of ZTA solutions in support of security and business objectives.
• Works with customers to outline roadmaps, strategies, and approaches for the realization of cross-cutting security solutions that exploit ZTA product services and capabilities.

Required Expertise, Experience, and Training:

• 7+ years experience in cyber risk management, assessments and authorization (A&A), certification & accreditation (C&A) and using NIST Special Publications (SP) (e.g.: SP800-30, SP800-37, SP800-53, etc.)
• 7+ years experience in designing and engineering enterprise IT solutions within the USG using NIST SP (e.g.: SP800-60, SP800-64, SP800-80, SP800-122, SP800-137, SP800-146, SP800-160, SP800-204, SP800-207, SP800-213, etc.)
• 3+ years of experience performing functions in the position description (1+ for ZTA-specific functions).
• Mapping the 5 pillars of the CISA security model to a ZTA solution
• Designing and implementing ZTA in the Federal Government
• Develop requirements for ZTA from Federal Government Customers
• Baseline ZTA capability configurations
• Validating and verifying ZTA implementation success and ongoing configuration changes
• Design and implement a ZTA solution (including SASE and SOAR capabilities)
• Must have hands-on experience in implementing and validating leading ZTA/SASE commercial products (FedRAMP SASE cloud solutions)
• Experience maintaining a Central Management Server (CMS) to control SASE policies

Education and/or Certifications:

• Bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or IT
• Additional 4 years of enterprise cybersecurity & architecture experience can substitute degree requirements.

Minimum Certifications: CISSP with any of the following:

• Zero Trust certification
• CISSP ISSAP
• SASE Solution OEM Certification (e.g., Zscaler, Prisma Access, iBoss, etc.)
• Firewall OEM Certification (e.g., CCNP Security, Palo Alto PCNSE, etc.)
• OffSec (e.g., OCSP or OCSE) Certification
