QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum qualifications: H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. required; Associate\'s degree preferred. Excellent organizational and presentation skills required. At least two years of professional experience working with youth required. Must demonstrate ability to set healthy community priorities. Must have excellent interpersonal skills in a mixed culture context. Must be able to work irregular hours, including occasional evenings and weekends. Must be able to establish and maintain supportive working relationships with team, the public, service groups, and community stakeholders. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to set and follow clear boundaries when working with youth and their families. Must be willing to obtain Youth Peer Support Specialist credential within 12 months of hire. Must be able to pass an enhanced criminal background check through the State of Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. Prior experience or collaboration with mental health care, substance use disorders, crisis intervention/response and/or suicide prevention preferred. Prior experience working with Native and non-Native youth in formal or informal education setting preferred. Verifiable, successful experience handling time-sensitive and confidential matters required. Demonstrated experience in successful program promotion and implementation preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Power Point.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Consistently promote a positive, professional image of Marimn Health at all times, and provide consistent high-quality customer service to all participants.
  • Assists Wellbriety Services Manager in leading needs assessment to evaluate existing victim services and gather data on extent of need.
  • Attend youth prevention programming to establish relationships with community youth and promote victim services, including therapeutic and cultural resources.
  • Promotes Wellbriety Youth Advocacy Services and collaborates to provide victim services to youth and families.
  • Works closely with the Wellbriety Services Manager and Behavioral Health Director to perform administration and operation duties to meet all program and or grant deliverables.
  • Work closely with Behavioral Health counselors, members of the Child Protection Team/Coeur Adolescent Support Team (CAST) and community members to make appropriate referrals and ensure the safety and confidentiality of all stakeholders.
  • Consistently demonstrate positive, effective communication skills and interactions with target stakeholders, partners, community members, other agencies and organizations.
  • Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to collect, integrate, analyze, and use data and information, and compare and evaluate possible actions or courses of conduct based upon such analysis.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of and comply with the company\'s policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for implementing activities as outlined in grant funding.
  • Communicates the purpose, priorities and objectives of Youth Wellbriety programming to the community and stakeholders.
  • Attends Coeur Adolescent Support Team meetings and carries out Team recommendations.
  • Works with the Community entities to promote project/activities through such resources as community radio, newspaper interviews, or speaking at local events.
  • Provides or coordinates necessary training for the company and the community to enhance the promotion of trauma-informed victim services.
  • Ensures collaboration with community or regional partners to ensure effective communication and successful project outcomes.
  • Creates program materials for outreach activities.
  • Ensures management of emergency supplies needed to assist youth with urgent, temporary needs.
  • Assist Wellbriety Services Manager with reviewing and revising Tribal Code to ensure youth safety and wellbeing.
  • Provides regular reports to the Child Protection Team, Project Coordinator, and Behavioral Health Director on progress of activities including objectives, strategies, and issues
  • Assists Wellbriety Services Manager in completing required reporting.
  • Disseminates information and findings related to the Wellbriety Youth Advocacy Services to the community and other stakeholders as necessary.
  • Maintain, track, and update all Youth Advocacy Services clients with regards to participation in services, including therapeutic and cultural programming.
  • Refer to Behavioral Health mental health and substance abuse services when necessary.
  • Refer to Indian Child Welfare Program for investigation when necessary.
  • Evaluate program trends and outcomes.
  • Maintains basic knowledge of mental health issues and diagnosis which are prevalent within the community and client caseload to appropriately coordinate care in team setting.
  • Acts as a contact for youth and young adults and ensures that individuals, community agencies and groups are aware of the available resources to deliver and participate in victim services, including mental health, substance abuse and domestic violence services.
  • Maintains data and client files in an accurate and timely manner in order to support ongoing program evaluation and improvement, and ensure that clients are connected with appropriate resources.
  • Utilizes Electronic Health Record to document all client face to face contacts, collateral contacts, referrals, and telephone calls regarding care.
  • Documentation of Case Management activities that meets both clinical and billing criterion and standards.
  • Utilizes the Recovery/Wellness Plan to help participants develop effective recovery and general life goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
