Mohican Young Star Academy is looking for strong and mission-driven individuals to become superheroes for troubled young men adjudicated to receive behavioral treatment in a residential facility.
In order to keep administration, staff and residents safe, we have implemented safety measures including mandatory face masks, eye protection, temperature screenings and social distancing. Ability to commute/relocate:
- This position involves transporting and supervising youth during trips to appointments, court hearings, home visits, new intake pick-ups etc.
- Must learn the treatment program and be able to discuss academy\'s standards and expectations with youth during transports.
- Must provide a positive role model for youth to emulate.
- Responsible for completing non-routine medical incident reports in the required time limit.
- Provide back-up support as a Youth Care Specialist when other duties are not being conducted. This role involves supervising youth through their daily routine, encouraging, motivating and challenging youth\'s thinking errors and de-escalating them when in crisis.
